From the start, I planned to have a substantial focus on visualization. As we are visual machines, there is no better way than to communicate the results of our computer-aided diagnosis to the medical experts. I was very fortunate to get Anna Vilanova on board. She introduced and led a substantial number of state-of-the-art projects in our group, often involving challenging fields, in particular brain connectivity with diffusion tensor imaging and flow visualization from 4D cardiac MRI.
